Zhang Huiwen began experimenting with fiction while doing her undergraduate degree at the Business School of Singapore’s National University. After winning several fiction and essay contests in Singapore – including the 2003 Golden Point Award – she began publishing story collections in China. She is the recipient of the Ordos Literary Newcomer award, and has published in journals including People’s Literature, Harvest, and Shanghai Literature. She currently lives in the United States. Zhang Huiwen’s short story “After the Storm” appeared in the Spring 2016 edition of Pathlight.
