gosh, my thinking in English is faster than my typing now.. .so I started to mumble all the time these days? can't make a whole sentence comprehensible. but anyway, just read this long review of Prof. Tani Balow, interviewed by others on the founding of THE journal 'positions'. She isn't afraid of Feminism, or being called many names other than Asianist (?) but I like this passage: 'Like Benjamin whose journal Angelus Novus never published anything, I also "make no claim to survey the intellectual horizons of the age from on high," because while "the editor will feel some affinity with whatever will be found" in the pages of the journal, it is not the editor who creates the truth of situations, but the situations that lend themselves to the skilled editor's recognition and critique, and reinforcement of contributors' various expression. " In other words, 中国不缺作家,缺的是 坦直的细微的耐心的 翻译 编辑与观察家不只是中国,哪里多一样?https://www.researchgate.net/publication/254949168_A_Relentlessly_Productive_Venue_Interview_with_Senior_Editor_Tani_Barlow
