Short story by Tsering Norbu.
Translated by Bruce Humes
Tale of a Tibetan girl who grows up during the Cultural Revolution in Lhasa. She is not only classified as a class enemy thanks to her formerly well off family, she must also deal with the fear of mockery that comes with being a hunchback. Eventually she enters a nunnery and achieves peace of mind as she nears death, thanks to her devotion to the Green Tara bodhisattva. Due for publication in Pathlight (Summer 2016).
