Egoyan Zheng (real name Zheng Qianci) was born in 1977. He studied at both the Department of Psychology at National Taiwan University and at the School of Medicine at Taipei Medical University, and then obtained an MA in Chinese Literature from Tamkang University. His writing has been published in the "Newcomer Award" collection and nominated for the Man Asian Literary Prize in 2007 and the Frank O'Connor International Short Story Award in 2008. Zheng's publications include the short story collection Man In The Urn, the long novel The Dream Devourer and the poetry anthology Your Light Shines Through My Eyes.
