Translated excerpts from "My West Land, Your East Country"

Neat title for a 473-page tome about the far west of China by a gutsy, if sometimes over-heated Han Chinese who certainly did his fieldwork. The “West Land” of the title conjures up images of the Silk Road, the Taklamakan Desert and Turkic tribes, all part of the Chinese empire. “East Country,” however, is a taboo term in today’s PRC...

Hello Bruce,
When might I be able to get a hold of "My west land, your east country" in English? Loved "Last Quarter of the Moon" .

Glad to hear that!
Apologies. The link above is no longer valid. For a bit of background on this book by the controversial Han writer Wang Lixiong (《我的西域,你的东土》) and a few excerpts I translated into English, visit here: My West Land, Your East Country.
Unfortunately, Taiwan publisher Locus Publishing (大块文化) has made it difficult to bring out the book in English, so to the best of my knowledge, you'll have to read the Chinese original if you're interested.
It is banned in China, and I bought my hard copy at Hong Kong's Cosmos Books.

Thanks! Good luck!
