Author finds clues to real life in his whodunit fiction

Sun's crime story, The Shades Who Periscope Through Flowers to the Sky, will appear in the December issue of the Chicago-based online-magazine Words Without Borders, which introduces international literature to English-language readers. His novel was the only Chinese selection.

Yes that's the story. After a bit of digging around I found it was a line from a Dylan Thomas poem, translated into Chinese by the poet Bai Hua. The story mentioned in the article seems to be 而谁将通过花朵望天空, which appeared in Chutzpah 天南 #7.

Since 2010, Sun Yisheng has been posting stories to the Heilan literary website under the pen name 威廉爱德华.
