Chang Ying-Tai is an award-winning Taiwanese writer and Professor of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taipei. She earned her degree of PhD in Literature from the National Taiwan University.

Over the past decade, her writing has garnered numerous awards, including: First Prize for Fiction in the First International Book Fair; finalist for the Two-Million-Yuan Award for Fiction; China Times First Prize for Fiction and Prose; United Daily Press First Prize for Fiction; Central Daily News First Prize for Fiction; Literary award for Taiwanese Literature; and the Award for Literary Writing from the Ministry of Education. Her work has been selected for inclusion in various literary anthologies in mainland China and Taiwan and has been frequently listed among the Best Taiwanese Fiction at the Frankfurt Book Fair.

Her works include the novels, To All the Boys We Loved Before (2012), The Rose with A Thousand Faces (2011), The Zither Player of Lost Kingdom (2008) and The Bear Whispers to Me (2007); as well as the short-story collections The Unstoppable Spring (2009), Floating Nest (2004), and My Tibetan Lover (2000). Her film and theatrical scripts include The Big Shot (2006), and the screenplay,Our Commitment (1998), which was listed by the Government Information Office as one of the year best film scripts.
