北京人 (lit. Beijinger)
Short story by Wang Yuan.
“Beijing Woman” starts out as a comedy of errors: an educated, snobby Beijing restaurant owner tries and fails to manage her feisty rural Chinese migrant worker staff. By the end of the story, we have entered much darker emotional territory.
