Li Chao was born in 1986 in Hunan and currently lives in Guiyang. Since he began publishing fiction in 2007, he has received honors including the Shanghai Literature Newcomer Award, the Zijin-People’s Literature Star Award, and the Writer Magazine Gold Short Story Award. His fiction has been included in the Harvest best-of-year list and is collected in three books, the most recent of which is 《雾中河》 River in the Fog.
