Huang Yongmei was born in Guangxi in the 1970s, and began writing in 2001. The youngest member of the writers' association in Guangxi, she is one of the most prominent young writers in China. Her works include the novel Being Serious, the novellas Sending Out Love and Single, Double, and the short stories Level A, Keywords and Warm Grass. (source: Words without Borders)
