The And Other Stories Chinese reading group is up and running!
We're reading some of the best new literary writing published in Chinese, with the aim of identifying books that And Other Stories might consider publishing in English. We'll be reading three titles in June, July and August, and have already chosen our first two books: a selection of short novellas by Han Dong about a cat, a ferry and an execution, and a bestselling debut novel by Taiwanese playwright Chi Wei-Jan.
These should spark some great discussions -- there'll be an opportunity to comment online, with meetings planned in London, Beijing, and Shanghai. Click here for more details about joining us.

dear Madame JIANG Chenxin my wife LIU Xihong and I have been working on the French draft of A Jar of lard for future film plans. Yet we need to share the original text in its English version, which you translated, with interested parties (like producers). Would you agree to your version to be sold to us, via a PDF for example ? thanks for your cooperation. rolland Fradet
