Yuan Wei was born in Beijing in 1985, and resides in Beijing. In 2009, she received a grant from the China Oriental Foundation for Art for her poetry collection, Tuna. In 2010, a release party called “There Is No | Yuan Wei” was held in celebration of Tuna.
