Wen-chi Li is the author of Taiwanese Face, Chinese Masks: Yang Mu and His Postcolonial Poetry (Cambria, 2026), and editor of Under the Same Roof: A Poetry Anthology for LGBTQ (Dark Eyes, 2019), Taiwanese Literature as World Literature (Bloomsbury, 2022), and Identity, Multiplicity, and Resistance in Taiwanese Poetry (Routledge, 2025). He is also a literary translator specializing in contemporary Taiwanese literature, with particular strengths in poetry and queer writing. His co-translation of Chen Ko-hua’s Decapitated Poetry (Seagull Books, 2023), produced with Colin Bramwell, won the 2024 Lucien Stryk Asian Translation Prize, one of the leading international awards for Asian poetry in translation. They received First Prize in the 2018 John Dryden Translation Competition for his translation work. Their translation of Lamulu Pakawyan’s chapbook “Social” appeared in the Ká-sióng series from Strangers Press. He and Bramwell have additionally translated individual pieces by Yang Mu, Chen Xue, Sun Wei-min, Chen Yuhong, and others.
