Melody Li graduated with an MPhil degree in Translation Studies from The University of Hong Kong. She is currently a PhD candidate in Comparative Literature at Washington University in St. Louis. In addition to the competitive McDonnell International Academy fellowship, she has won several prizes and scholarships, including Three Minute Thesis Competition - People's Choice Award in 2011, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government Scholarship in 2010 and 2011, Hong Kong Youth Literary Award - Translation Championship in 2010, etc. Her research interests include Translation Studies, Asian Diaspora Literature, and Modern Chinese Literature. She has translated Rob Wilson’s poems into Chinese and published in the Malaysian journal Chao Foon.
