Cecily Chen (1997 – )
Cecily Chen is a writer and translator from Beijing, China. She is currently completing her PhD in English Literature at the University of Chicago. Her dissertation examines emergent racial forms in experimental Chinese American literature and visual art. You can find her criticism and translations in Chicago Review, Textual Practice, The Poetry Project Newsletter, mercury firs, the tiny, and elsewhere. She is also the translator of two chapbooks, CHEATING (Inpatient Press, 2022) and SWEET TALK (The Year, 2025), as well as one full-length collection, BED (beautiful days press, 2025). She edits poetry for Chicago Review.
