Ah Yu’s real name is Wang Qiang. He was born in Li prefecture, Gansu province, in 1994. In 2011, he picked up Yi Sha’s poetry collection Songs of a Bastard, and began writing poetry himself in November of the same year. His poems have been published online, as well as in local magazines in Baiyin. He currently studies at Baiyin Technical College, and is a member of the Baiyin Writers’ Association.
