Ah Ding (Wang Jin), once an anesthesiologist, left the world of medicine, and entered the media. While working for The Beijing News as a news editor and editor-in-chief, he began writing fiction, and so far has published two novels, Dog Without a Tail and I Will Dance and Dance at Your Grave, two collections of short stories, Hedonists Know No Boundaries and Fetus Hearts, Delicacies, and Others Things, a collection of historical essays entitled Soft-Bodied Creatures, and the upcoming essay collection Confession of Professional Liars. He is currently working on a re-creation of Strange Tales From a Chinese Studio: a collection of short pieces called Told in a Ghost's Tongue.
