I haven't read the book yet, but I have ordered it. In any case the attempt is courageous.

I'm reading it now. It's a nice overview; not only a good place for real beginners to start, but also a place for experts to gain a couple new insights born from simplified ordering. But the poetry translations (erratic rhyming, extraneous and antiquated diction...) are really not to my taste.
