Annelise Finegan studied comparative literature at Yale University and Chinese language and literature through the Inter-University Program at Tsinghua University in Beijing. She has worked as an acquisitions editor, publishing coordinator, and marketing assistant for several academic presses, and recently completed a translation of The Last Lover (最后的情人) by Can Xue (残雪). Originally from Philadelphia, Annelise is presently based in Rochester, New York, where she translates, edits, and on occasion practices the black art of letterpress printing.
