Susan Wilf received her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and her Ph.D. from Harvard University. She has taught Chinese language and literature at Harvard University, Indiana University, and the U.S. Naval Academy, and now directs the ESL Program at George School. Her other translations include Chrysanthemums and Other Stories by Feng Jicai (San Diego: Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, 1985).
