Online event, 11 Nov 2024: organised by the Leeds Centre for New Chinese Writing, in partnership with Sinoist Books, with support from Arts Council England. Three speakers - Fan Wu, John De Lucy and Professor Gregory Lee - will talk about Fan Wu's novel, Souls Left Behind (tr. Honey Watson, published by Sinoist Books) and how it pays tribute to the 140,000 men recruited from China by Allied forces during the First World War.
