Oh yeah, I remember how there was a thing on this blog about five years ago where a literary agency was having a competition to translate an excerpt from this novel. Apparently I was the only one who entered the competition, so the agent just decided no one would win! Fun times. I did always wonder if my translation was used somehow to sell the rights to the book. Probably the translation that's out now is much better than anything I could do, but I'm just sayin'!
