A scholar of Manchu storytelling just sent me the link to the audio of Dr. Zhang Juling's recent presentation:

一梦红楼感纳兰满族文学在中国文学史上的地位

The very beginning is a bit noisy, but when she begins speaking, the recording is crystal clear.

Wow! She's 80-something and supposedly retired, but the clarity of her Mandarin and the forcefulness of her expression are truly impressive.

The download page warns it will take nearly a month to download, but it actually took me just 4-5 minutes . . .
