Ball Lightning, one of the best Chinese science fiction novels of the past few years, is a fast-paced story of what happens when the beauty of scientific inquiry runs up against a push to harness new discoveries with no consideration of the possible consequences.

Genuinely great translation, dude. I've also been reading the first book of Liu Cixin's 《三体》 and I'm seriously liking it, despite usually not digging this kind of stuff.

brilliant translation. being a translator based in china myself, i wish i had your command of english to so accurately capture liu's narration and depiction of scene, feelings, and other things. it's really a pity liu hasn't gotten any of his works introduced to foreign readers. hopefully this will not be the case in near future, and i hope i will be able to help, even just a bit at that time.

I wish some translator or press can contact Mr.Liu and translate his masterpiece into other language. Mr.Liu's Chinese fans are fanatic but few, his book may be more popular in the occidental market. I also wish some of his books can be make into movies by hollywood film makers, because considering the current level of Chinese film industry, they will ruin the story.
