The And Other Stories Chinese reading group is up and running!
Chenxin Jiang was born in Singapore and grew up in Hong Kong. Forthcoming translations include French Concession by Xiao Bai for HarperCollins and The Cowshed by Ji Xianlin for New York Review Books. She received a 2011 PEN Translation Fund grant and that year's Susan Sontag Prize for Translation, an annual award made to one translator under the age of 30. Her work has appeared in Pathlight, Poetry London, World Literature Today, Hayden’s Ferry Review, no man’s land, Words Without Borders, Renditions, and on the BBC. She has also led translation workshops for the Poetry Translation Centre in London.
Chenxin also translates from Italian and German. She is the Senior Editor for Chinese content at Asymptote, an online journal of international literature, and welcomes submissions of contemporary Chinese writing in translation. She studied comparative literature and creative writing at Princeton University.
