Jeff worked for several years as an English teacher and in-house editor/translator in Beijing, and is currently a freelance translator living in rural Michigan. He translates most non-science topics and non-fiction books and articles. He studied traditional Chinese fiction and drama as an undergraduate and MA student of Chinese in the US, and wrote a thesis on traditional Chinese drinking games, although his knowledge of the topic is much more theoretical than practical.
