Mary King Bradley received her B.A. in Art History from Juniata College and an M.A. in English from Arcadia University. Her Master’s thesis at Arcadia University used a combination of essay, translation, original poetry and short fiction to explore the interplay between genre and subject matter. Before moving to Iowa City, she lived and taught English in Taichung City, Taiwan. She will complete an MFA in Literary Translation degree at the University of Iowa in May 2016, where she is a senior editor of the literary translation journal Exchanges. In 2015 she participated in the prestigious International Writer’s Workshop there, working on translations with three authors: Matthew Cheng (Hong Kong), Yao Feng (Macau) and Cheng Wenyin (Taiwan).
