Deng Yiguang 邓一光

Deng Yiguang is of Mongolian ethnicity born in Chongqing, and now lives in Shenzhen, Guangdong province. He has published nine novels including I Am the Sun, Recalling the Prairie, Dear Enemy, and I Am My Own God, and more than eighty stories and novellas, among them Far Away from Agriculture and Wolves Walking Atwain. A great number of his works have been featured in collections, and have been translated into English, French, Russian, and Japanese. He received the first Lu Xun Literature Prize for a Novella, the first Feng Mu Literature Prize, the first Guo Moruo Literature Prize, the second National Book Award, and the inaugural Lin Jinlan Short Story Award for an Outstanding Writer.
